RPSCOE - (Raghupati Singhania Centre of Excellence for Tyre and Vehicle Mechanics) is a set example for Industry - Institute collaboration. RPSCOE is an R&D set up at Engineering Design Department in IIT Madras, sponsored by JK Tyres and Industries Ltd, working under the esteemed guidance of Prof. R Krishna Kumar and Dr. R Mukhopadhyay.

Initial interaction started in the year 2000 and full fledged center was established in the year 2004. This centre plays a vital role in solving the key issues relating to on field tyre failures and continuously involved in the product development, improvement and optimization cycles of JK Tyres and Industries Ltd. in design as well as manufacturing areas.

lies in the field of Tyre Mechanics, Vehicle Dynamics, Model Analysis and NVH and is equipped with most sophisticated and state of art facilities required for numerical simulations and experimental testing purposes.
